Pastor James A. Fielder

James was born & reared in St. Louis, Missouri. He relocated to Central Illinois after serving twelve years in the U.S. Marine Corps. The eldest of two children, he is a dutiful son, a protective big brother, and the patient and loving father of his free-spirited daughter, Najha.

Since accepting the call to ministry, in addition to the UMC, James has served in Baptist, Pentecostal and non-denominational churches. He believes such broad experience enables him to make God’s word relatable to people regardless of their religious background. His primary objective is to usher people into an intimate, meaningful relationship with God.

Above all else, He loves serving God.

“There is no greater joy for me than preaching and teaching the word of God, although singing may be a close 2nd.” – James
